Anti-Black Racism Capacity Building Grant program

Anti-Black Racism Capacity Building Grant program

Greetings Members and Friends,

One of the recommendations of the Interim Action Plan to Confront Anti-Black Racism is to launch an Anti-Black Racism Capacity Building Grant program that enables Black-led social service agencies and Black-focused services agencies to recruit and train diverse Black Torontonians for leadership and governance roles in health and community organizations.

This Capacity Building Grant will be launched this Fall and it is important that members of Toronto’s Black communities be involved at each stage of the process.  As such, the City of Toronto is looking for five active members from the Black Community to join a new Community Selection Committee (CSC) that will review, assess and recommend funding for Anti-Black Racism Capacity Building Grants.

Please review the attached documents to see if you maybe interested, eligible and available to  join the CSC. Applications are due on August 28th. And, feel free to forward this email.

If you have questions, please contact the JCA Director for Advocacy, at director2@jcaontario.org.
