Tonight the JCA Advocacy team hosted our first Let’s Chat Town-hall at Xaymaca Restaurant in Brampton. What a turnout! We were so pleased to see many people out on this cold night to discuss the issues that matter to our community. People spoke passionately about their experiences with the education and justice systems, child welfare and political arena. We will be summarizing the notes to share with you and those who attended. Many expressed appreciation to JCA for facilitating this discussion that is long overdue in a City and Region where we are large in numbers but smaller in political, economic and social presence. Special thanks to Yolande, Danielle and Audrey for organizing this great event. Our journey continues.
