December 2012

This has been a whirlwind year of activities for the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA) and Jamaica as we celebrated our 50th Anniversary. In October we were pleased to have been chosen by the governments of Canada and Jamaica to host a private reception for the Prime Ministers of Canada and Jamaica. This was the first time that a Prime Minister of Canada has visited the JCA Centre. The visit was in com- memoration of 50 years of bilateral relationship between the two countries. Read More.

This year, 2012, marks the 50th (Golden) Anniversary of Jamaica and the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA). In honour of this of half century milestone the JCA has will be celebrating throughout the year. All the JCA’s annual events will carry the 50th Anniversary logo which was specifically designed to commemorate the 50th theme. Read More.

We are supposed to use this time to recharge our batteries to gear up for the busy fall/winter season. The 48th Anniversary Gala held August 7, 2010 at 7pm on the grounds of JCA was very well attended!
